Sneaking out

Yesterday morning I sneaked out with Sandra Dodd to early morning sunshine in Linlithgow.  We talked and walked and found odd corners to take photos.  There were dark skies with bright spring leaves with sunshine on them. I saw my place through someone else's eyes.  We sheltered in doorways and ate breakfast from the bakery.  Mum picked us up in pouring rain having looked after S and M without being asked.

All last week Mum and Dad have looked after us, washed up, cooked, cleaned and tidied. Motivated me and coped with a busy week when they had come for holiday.  Now we are off on holiday.

Rilma

Rilmar was my Grandfather's creation, the best time in the garden - the end of April and the beginning of May.  Everything is green fresh and growing and in my case covering up the grass and clover which I don't really want in the boarders.

Our Iris has flowered for the first time.  Purple above the chartreuse green of the marjoram and the glaucus  blue green of the iris leaves.  Don't seem to be able to capture the effect in a photo but it is giving me pleasure every time I go outside in the lovely sunny weather.

 Moosie planting her new 'Pink'.

Scone's last creation but 3 or so - a pirate ship.

Off to find the next Geocache along the canal - yes it really was that wonderful new leaf green reflecting in sunny golden brown-ness.
